My Okhli Organics is not just a spice and tea business; it is a whole movement led by women to restore the integrity of traditions while empowering women to earn a decent living. Founded in 2021 amid the pandemic, my Okhli began as a small group of like-minded women seeking to revive the tradition of hand-pounding spices in okhli. What started with Lakadong Turmeric from Meghalaya quickly grew into a suite of authentic masalas, wellness blends, and single estate teas.

A simple mission, we want to offer pure, chemical-free, hand-crafted products in your kitchen while creating sustainable livelihoods for women artisans and supporting farmers across India.

Shilpi Agarwal

Hi, I’m Shilpi Agarwal, the founder of My Okhli Organics.
I was born and brought up in the interiors of Uttar Pradesh, where food was more than just a meal — it was a ritual of love, aroma, and tradition. I still remember watching spices being hand-pounded in okhlis, their fragrance filling the air and our hearts. Those early memories shaped my deep passion for pure, handcrafted food made with care.

After completing my MBA and spending few years in the corporate world, life after Covid made me pause and reflect. I wanted to create something meaningful — something that celebrated the roots I came from. That’s how My Okhli Organics was born, to bring back the authenticity and heritage of Indian cooking through hand-processed spices made with honesty and heart.

Today, I live in Noida with my husband, a Chartered Accountant, and our twin daughters, who keep life vibrant and joyful. When I’m not experimenting in my kitchen, I love to read, travel, and explore cultures that share the same love for food and storytelling.

Through My Okhli Organics, I want to share a piece of that heritage with you — where every spice tells a story and every flavor connects us to our roots.
